You imagine general news as news that is new and is put up for the general public containing marketing for people in general looking for books, or, you may assume general news as global news that everybody in the world can attempt to understand. For instance, the latest oil spill is general news since it affected so many countries, or perhaps the past slump, since it affected more than half of the nations in the whole world. If you imagine that, then you are correct with what you think about information and news.

For a much better meaning, general news is a kind of news that is created for the masses. This means, each person can read it. As an article writer, it is hard to write common news that is since you must analyze on matters that not only people in a certain area can relate to, but people all over the world can connect with. The two mentioned above are obvious, since several countries are involved. However, it is not a daily news that a bank messes up its funds, or when an oil slick occurs, threatening nearly half of the population of the world’s marine living beings.

So, as a writer who is tasked to write general news, you need to think carefully about what you are going to write about, and you need to do broad research first. This is since your viewers is the total world, there is no space for mistake, and if you do one, or write anything that is incorrect, then it will surely affect the magazine that you are writing for.

On the whole, when writing blogs about everything, you have to be careful of two very simple entities, your focus area and relation to the whole world. So, whatever happened in Hawaii that isn’t something most important isn’t valuable for general news.
